Gabbard Alleges Electronic Voting Machines Vulnerable to Tampering

National Intelligence Director Tulsi Gabbard raised alarms about the integrity of U.S. elections during an open cabinet meeting Wednesday, asserting that electronic voting machines have been susceptible to manipulation that could have affected past election results.

“We’re investigating a range of critical issues, with election security at the top of the list,” Gabbard said. “Evidence shows these systems have been open to exploitation for years, potentially compromising the accuracy of vote counts.”

Speaking directly to President Trump, Gabbard advocated for a nationwide shift to paper ballots to bolster public trust in the electoral process. “This vulnerability underscores the need for a voting system that voters can verify,” she said, framing the issue as a priority for ensuring democratic integrity.

The remarks come amid heightened scrutiny of election infrastructure, with Gabbard’s claims lending weight to concerns about the reliability of electronic systems. Her call for reform could reignite debates over voting technology as states grapple with balancing security and accessibility.

Gabbard did not provide specific details on the evidence during the meeting, but her statements signal a potential push for federal action to overhaul election protocols.
